Transforming Bodies: Prosthetics

Ria Cheyne, Stuart Murray (University of Leeds), and Clare Barker (Birmingham University) collaborated on a seminar series, Transforming Bodies: New Directions in Medical Humanities and Cultural Disability. The series consisted of three events, exploring topics at the intersection of medical science, disability, and culture. The first event, on prosthetics, was held in Liverpool, followed by a seminar on prenatal genetic screening in Birmingham and one on ageing in Leeds.

Further information can be found in JLCDS comments (5.1, 5.3) by Pauline Eyre (Independent) and Emma Sophie Pickering (University of Leeds).
